Jose M. Aldasoro is a police officer in Vitoria-Gasteiz (Spain) and an author of science fiction and techno-thrillers. More than fifteen years on the street underpin his novels: The Loop, a cyberpunk thriller about a world trapped in a twenty-four-hour cycle, and Zero Frequency, an archaeological techno-thriller. He is working on The Aurora Solution, a prequel to The Loop. He publishes in Spanish and English and covers science and writing on YouTube.
Long bio
Jose M. Aldasoro (Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain) is a police officer and a writer. He has spent more than fifteen years patrolling streets, managing crises and watching how people react when reality breaks; not in a novel, but in a doorway at three in the morning. That is what he brings to every page: he does not invent how a human being behaves under pressure, he has seen it. His novels are techno-thrillers with a real scientific basis and no magic in disguise: systems that collapse and split-second decisions. He builds every scene like a camera shot, with an architecture of pace and tension worked out before a single word is written.
He debuted in November 2024 with El Bucle (The Loop), a cyberpunk thriller about temporal anomalies: every twenty-four hours the world resets and everyone remembers, until an unprecedented event stops the machine for two minutes. It was followed by Frecuencia Zero (Zero Frequency), an archaeological techno-thriller about an impossible pattern carved into the oldest monuments on Earth. Both are also published in English. He is working on The Aurora Solution, a prequel to The Loop. Alongside the novels he keeps a blog on the science behind his stories and a YouTube channel where real procedure meets speculative fiction.
