The Aurora Solution
Nobody decided to cause a catastrophe. Someone simply signed the least bad option.
A closed room. A report nobody wants to own. A deadline running out. “The Aurora Solution” is the novel of the origin: how a group of people with authority, incomplete information and no good way out made the decision that changed everything.
Prequel to “The Loop” | Manuscript under revision | No publication date | Reads on its own | Spanish
No spam. One notice when there is a date. Nothing else.
About the novel
“The Aurora Solution” is the next science fiction novel by Jose M. Aldasoro, author of “The Loop” and “Zero Frequency”. A techno-thriller written in Spanish by a police officer, set in the days before the greatest catastrophe in the universe of “The Loop”: a closed room, a report nobody wants to own, and a decision that no longer admits a way back.
It is a prequel and works as an entry point: you don't need to have read anything first. The manuscript is under revision and still has no publication date. If you want to know on day one, join the early access list below.
Three steps to the point of no return
No dystopia begins with a villain. It begins with reasonable people taking the least bad decision on the table.
01
The problem
No catastrophe begins with an explosion. It begins with a report nobody wants to sign.
02
The solution
Aurora was not a reckless idea. It was the least bad option at a table where every option was bad.
03
The price
Every decision comes with a bill. This one was paid for far longer than anyone had calculated.
What I can tell you. What I cannot yet
Aurora is the origin of the entire universe. That is why there are things that cannot be revealed without ruining them.
Confirmed
— That it is a prequel and works as an entry point: you do not need to have read anything before.
— That it begins long before the catastrophe, at the meeting where it could still have been avoided.
— That the conflict is not caused by a villain, but by a reasonable decision.
— That it is written with the same technical rigour as the rest: real procedure, no shortcuts.
Pending declassification
— Who was in the room.
— What was put on the table before saying yes.
— Why the project was called Aurora.
— What price they agreed to pay.
“I write from the other side of the line: I have spent years working the street. What interests me most about Aurora is not the catastrophe, but the meeting that came before it. Competent people, with good information and no decent option, making a decision. It is the most uncomfortable thing I have written, because I understand why they signed.”
